Our Path Toward Sustainable Business

At Duh u boci, we are fully committed to developing a sustainable and responsible business model.

In 2023, we began a structured approach to sustainability by creating our ESG Sustainability Strategy 2023–2030 and preparing our first Sustainability Statement, setting a clear foundation for measuring and monitoring our environmental and social impact.

We have calculated our carbon footprint (CO₂) and established a baseline year for future tracking. These results enable us to set measurable goals and make informed decisions aimed at reducing emissions and energy consumption.

Our focus in the coming period is the implementation of sustainability goals that demonstrate our commitment to long-term responsible and sustainable operations.

Key Goals by 2030

Environment

Reducing CO₂ emissions and transitioning to renewable energy sources

We plan to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions through production modernization and the installation of a solar power plant at our new facility, thereby increasing the share of energy from renewable sources by 2030.

Decarbonization plan and progress monitoring

By the end of 2026, we will develop a Decarbonization Plan that defines specific measures for emission reduction, with annual monitoring and reporting on our progress toward climate neutrality.

Responsible water management

The new facility will include a wastewater treatment system and rainwater collection system, reducing potable water consumption and contributing to the preservation of natural resources.

Circular economy and resource efficiency

We are introducing systematic waste tracking and increasing the share of recycled materials. Our goal is to reduce waste per unit of product and promote the reuse of packaging and materials.

Biodiversity preservation

At our new location, we plan to establish a biodynamic field and forest, enriching the local ecosystem, improving soil quality, and demonstrating that sustainability also means caring for nature beyond the production process.

Society

Employee development and workplace safety

We continuously invest in employee training and are implementing a health and safety management system to create a safe and stimulating work environment.

Collaboration with local suppliers

We prioritise sourcing raw materials from Croatian family farms and local producers, supporting the domestic economy and reducing transport-related emissions.

Community contribution

By building our new facility, we are creating new jobs and contributing to the economic development of the local community. Through educational and promotional initiatives, we aim to raise awareness of responsible consumption and local production.

Transparency and accountability

We continue to report on sustainability performance in accordance with the European VSME standard, ensuring a transparent and accurate presentation of our progress.

Ethics and compliance

We fully adhere to legal and regulatory requirements while fostering ethical business practices and a culture of responsibility as the foundation of long-term sustainability.
