Our take on the classic single malt style showcases our distinctive approach, focusing on subtle smokiness and layered aromatic notes. While it’s not labelled “peated”, we do use a small amount of smoked (not peated) malt. Rather than overpowering, it adds a delicate layer that gently rounds out the flavour profile. The recipe blends three types of two-row base malt with smoked and specialty malts, resulting in a whiskey that’s rich in character, yet effortlessly smooth and refined.

Our Single Malt is crafted to demonstrate that true character doesn’t need to shout. At its heart lies Maris Otter, one of the world’s most respected malting barley varieties, renowned for its rich cereal character, natural sweetness and exceptional depth of flavour. It forms the foundation of a whisky that is elegant, balanced and remarkably approachable.

Double distilled and bottled at 42% ABV, this expression is built around harmony rather than intensity. Every element has its place—from vibrant fruit notes and freshness to gentle malt sweetness, subtle oak influence and delicate spice.

Time Shapes Character

The spirit matures in 190-litre American oak casks with a Char #3 toast, allowing the whisky to develop gradually while preserving the purity of the distillate. The oak enhances rather than dominates, contributing layers of vanilla, soft caramel and gentle spice while allowing the fruity and malty character to remain at the forefront.

In the glass, the whisky displays a deep amber colour with red-gold reflections, inviting the first sip with warmth and elegance.

Tasting Profile

Bright orchard fruit leads the way, supported by a rich backbone of malted barley. As the whisky opens, notes of honey, caramel and delicate sweetness emerge, followed by soft vanilla and subtle oak spice. A gentle hint of smoke lingers in the background, adding complexity without overwhelming the whiskey’s refined character.

This is a Single Malt created for those who appreciate balance. Complex enough to reveal new layers with every tasting, yet approachable enough to welcome those beginning their journey into the world of fine whiskey.
